Hi, many of us prefer to use mailing lists rather than forums - I find 
it easier to subscribe to several mailing lists through gmane.org rather 
than check several web fora, each of which require separate accounts and 
passwords to enable posting.

Who is the "We" in "We decided to close it"?

It would be preferable to put the issue of closing a mailing list 
forward to the users of the mailing list rather than just deciding to 
close it without consulting the users.

Who is the "We" in "We decided to close it"?

Hi,
The "we" is Sebastian Trueg an me. 
I'm not a fan of fora either but the reality is most of the people prefer 
them. Besides, the new k3b@... list is open for everyone, so you're free 
to join it if you prefer mailing lists. We won't  shoot you if you ask non-
developer question ;)
This change is a part of clean up of K3b infrastructure. I want to spend as 
much time as possible coding, not administering and having too much places 
which needs keeping up doesn't help. That's it.

Hi,
Sebastian is still a project leader though he doesn't have much time
for actual coding in K3b recently. I'm doing most of the work now. So
the project isn't dead, but it wouldn't harm to have more contributors
;) We will have new site soon and we're heading up to stable 2.0
release which should show up sometime in March.
