In this particular example, I can see nothing at all in the record
explaining the 006 and 007 fields, or the 655 genre/form heading for
electronic books. The URLs are for LOC provided table of contents and
publisher descriptions (which we, and many other institutions strip out
automatically, since they're not indexed and never seem to be used by
patrons). In this specific case, it looks like bad cataloging on
someone's part, but so many hands have touched that particular record in
OCLC it's hard to say who's responsible.
My suggestion: delete the 007, 006, and 655 at least, and delete the
856s just for the sake of removing clutter from the catalog.
There are e-book versions of this title, but OCLC has different records
for them.

This makes sense, are you still using the leader to determine if the
material is a book. So, if the material is a Book and it's a Computer
file
then the material is an eBook. Check out the following record in our
catalog:
http://catalog.lib.rowan.edu/find/Record/390016/Details#tabnav
It's obviously a book, that is on your shelf, however it does have some
856
fields which is why, I'm assuming, the 007 is listing this as a computer
file. Is this a fault with cataloging or is VUFind making too general
of an
assumption?
