I agree with the overall idea of showing the family events on the
individual event lists; however I will personally keep sharing the
family events until a release version GRAMPS supports it. The
rationale behind this is that it is less "costly" for me to remove the
sharing latter than it is to miss the information right now: I use
GRAMPS exclusively and have (for better or worse, mostly for better)
adapted my way of entering data to the way GRAMPS works up until now.
More importantly I use the information in GRAMPS as the backbone for
genealogical investigation (requesting microfilms, visiting archives
were I request specific marriage registers, etc.), which is the
ultimate reason why I use genealogical software. I need to have that
information easily accessible to achieve that goal.
