Yes, that receiver should work just fine. Don't know 'til you try it
if it'll work with the lirc_mceusb2 driver provided by your distro,
because we don't know the usb device ID. It could require newer lirc
that has its device ID included, it could be a new device ID we need
to add. But it'll work, one way or another.
