Out of the group of things that are regularly seen in $CHECKS, mine is 'disk cpu processes logs memory' for example, I would like to see something where we can have a services entry for a host in spong.hosts look like services => 'ping: http imap ldap pop smtp -cpu -disk' so that we can avoid listing a CPU check or DISK check on a certain machine. Would it be possible to use that type of syntax to suppess the display and reporting of a certain system's service? $CHECKS seems to only be used by spong-client, and spong-network's munge_services function seems to do some of this massaging of the services variables. www-spong also has a few spots (services sub?) where we could filter on the service starting with a dash and not return anything. The question is, are there other places that look at the services portion of the HOSTS hash that would break from this? -- Ernest A.
