I tried the same command with different drivers, and the results (i.e.
whether the driver could detect the additional index marks) are:

--driver taiyo-yuden SUCCESS
--driver toshiba SUCCESS
This is for a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-842 (in a Lenovo T60 Thinkpad).
