I do hope we can get Brett to recant ;) With most of the Jython committers
at PyCon, and Brett there too, we should have the time to do so. Certain
JSR-223 is by far the lowest-common denominator possible approach to
Jython/Java integration, to the extent we still need to fix our support for
it for 2.5. (But that will require doing so on the JSR-223 side, since
current support uses the wrong API.)
In commenting on Brett's blog, I noted in passing that the two who had
preceded me in doing, Alan and Sébastien, had contributed perhaps some of
the best counterexamples of just how well Java and Jython interoperate in
terms of their work on all things sockets, modjy, and elementtree support
via expat emulation.
