OK, that is what I suspected. It wouldn't make any sense to apply your ideas
to the old manual, because it won't be used for the next version.
I didn't go though your ideas in detail, but what I did take in was that it
all sounded reasonable. If you want to review the new 7 manuals and make
similar remarks, I think we could come up with a set of changes that would be
useful to do. Please be aware that we have the following items on our plate:
1. We really should split the Installation manual into two manuals:
Installation and Configuration.
2. Virtually all the internal links that now point to a separate manual are
broken because it is no longer one big manual. I have not looked into how we
can fix this, but I think we will need to make them external links that point
to the other chapters of the manual on the Bacula web site -- a lot of work.
3. The New Features chapter is still work in progress and will remain, but
most of it still needs to be integrated into the the appropriate manual.
If you or anyone else is interested to sign up for some of the work you
suggested or the points I mentioned, you just need to fill out and send in
two copies of the FLA -- see http://www.bacula -> FSFE License, then we agree need
to agree on the exact work to be done, and you will have a resonably free
hand. We will just need to coordinate, because we are currently working on
#3 and planning to work on #1 and #2 sometime within the next month.
