We have a "mrhouse id/license" for the WeatherBug API - I wrote some code,
got it working but never fully tested it all so I have not submitted it. If
someone is interested picking up where I left off I can pass them the
module.

As my irrigation depends on weather data (To know how much to water) I try
to have a backup weather source. I'll check the weather data once an hour
and if it one value (say temp) isn't in a correct range I'll grab data from
another source. Another great place for weather data is from weatherbug:
http://feeds2.weatherbug.com/rss.aspx?f=1&zipCode=94901&units=1
The data is consistent and easy to parse.
In case anyone's interested.

Well, I see now exactly why it's not pulling current weather conditions
- NOAA hasn't reported on my town in 5 days, and it's seems it's
because
the airport (I didn't even know we had one) stopped reporting. Called
the airport, figuring I'd have to leave some message that it wasn't
working with someone's voicemail and never hear back. A live person
answered the phone and transfered me to the guy who runs the AWOS system
(I guess it's a REAL small airport) Guy confirmed that it was up
internally, and that noaa wasn't picking it up. He's going to call and
report the fail to them for resolution. Not every day someone gets to
call the airport to report a malfunction :-)
