So right now the wordexp() stuff is wrapped in "#ifdef __linux__".
I suppose we should make that something like
"#if defined(__linux__) || defined(__APPLE__)", then?
(Would we want any kind of "MAC_OS_X_VERSION_10_4" or "__APPLE_10_4_x__"
