Hi Ain,

I ran some checks using oo2po v1.1.1rc3 and wasn't able to replicate
this.

Using the same message from SDF I:

* Created a POT file - all \r preserved
* Extracted PO files for 'af' language from an SDF and the \r worked
* Created a new sdf from a translation and the \r were preserved

Some questions.  Did your example string come from an SDF or in some
other way, e.g. upgrading with pot2po?

Installed rc3, cannot replicate myself. Made whole usual procedure 
including pot2po, dunno where this error came earlier from...
