I am curious if anyone has any thoughts on that grabber bug I mentioned
a while back?
I would look into it myself, if I knew where to look. To re-iterate,
when I select multiple files to update and do a FORCE UPDATE (I had
enabled the option for relative filenames and wanted to force update all
the data so they were changes appropriately) it does the update, appears
to be fine, but as soon as you click on any of the items, it crashes.
If you don't click on anything and press CTRL+S to save your update, you
kiss your data goodbye, it gets all scrambled up, can't be reloaded
without crashing and has to be totally redone (thank God for backups or
I would have been really pissed!). Looks like a memory leak of some
sort somewhere, not sure where though. Could it have something to do
with the data having full paths and then suddenly being shortened to
relative paths? Quite a few of the items didn't need a path at all once
relative was enabled do to the data being in the same directory. I am
wondering if a pointer gets messed up somehow.
Anyhow, any help would be appreciated. I sure hate the prospect of
manually editing EACH dat file entry to change 'em, but I don't want to
have full paths either. (not that's it's all that important at the
moment, but this is a nasty error, you lose ALL your work when it crashes).
