I had a problem with /dev/ttyS0 expecting to talk to a modem with
RTS and CTS. I switched to using /dev/cua0 and the cm11 stuff is
working fine now on RedHat 8.0. I also get the ioctl garbage. On
RedHat ia64 7.3 I was using /dev/ttyS0 with Kermit but had to switch
to /dev/cua0. Perhaps there's been a change in conventions between
7.3 and 8.0.
