There has been a fair amount of work done on the DRM driver for the
tcl-0-0-branch. I don't think it's going to be a straight forward
merge. The reason we keep this kernel driver in our tree is it allows
us to keep everything up to sync between the 3D Mesa driver and the
kernel DRM driver.
I think more attention needs to be paid to keeping video in sync as
well. That said, I won't point any fingers because I don't have the
bandwidth to provide this synchronization. I sure wish I did.
We'll be glad to answer any technical questions. Sometimes there are
little nuasances in these drivers that aren't always obvious at first
glance. One of the key ones for the DRM driver is backwards
We must make sure all the DRM work we do will still work for older
released versions of XFree86.
