Of course I have tried it myself.  You have to show what settings you 
have for Options->Display Prefs->Only Reply In HTML When Viewing HTML Format

Please reply with the old message with your replies inline so this thread
is follow-able for others (and me too).

HTML_Mail should give you the choice to default to plain/html as your
standard compose type.  Maybe it's on the compose prefs if you use SM
1.5.x, but you don't include any such useful informaiton in your post...

Wherever you find that pref, you will find the ones I am referring to jus=

I have "NO" selected there... and have the same problem.. it brings up
the raw HTML from the draft rather then formatting it.

It's hard to guess when no more info is provided.  Please read

Things like versions, message details (the whole raw message perhaps), 
any PHP errors and stuff like that really help.  Also, please try to 
"view as HTML" first before resuming draft and see if there is any 
difference.  You should also make sure you have the latest code.  I can 
send it to you offlist if you like.

I have no php errors.   It's already viewing as HTML.   Here is what I

You might try 1.4.5cvs, as it does have a fix for incorrect content type 
headers.  Also, there seem to be extra MIME parts added to the end, 
which I don't understand.  Is this a dump of the message details or some 
combination of the compose screen and...??  Was the original message 
created with this same version of HTML_Mail?  If not, that is probably 
an issue.

This is seriously broken.  I am a bit suspicious that HTML_Mail plugin 
would be responsible for messing up your compose screen THAT much, 
*UNLESS* you used some crazy HTML or javascript that broke the textarea 
and bled onto the source of the actual compose page.

You might want to try a fresh SM install with only HTML mail and only 
some simple formatting in your draft for the first try.  I am ready to 
release this plugin pending resolution of this matter, but I might just 
let this one slide since no one else has this issue.

are adept at coding, then BY ALL MEANS, please help me debug the 
problem.  The only place I know of that it has happened is on YOUR system.

could be wrong and what you could try based on the info given.  This

I will start debug very soon. Just tell me one thing, how it's
possible that this happens on my system. I don't do anything
special to it.

- I install SM from ports by "make install".
- I extract compatibility plugin
- I extract html_mail plugin
- I run ./conf.pl and add plugin

I do something wrong?

You can also stop making erroneous and rude accusations at me.  You can 
be more respectful of the time I am investing to help you free of charge 
by providing as much useful information in your posts as possible.  You 
can try to fix the problem yourself or do some debugging to save me time 
making uninformed guesses from afar.

We can't be responsible for someone else's packages of our code.  I 
recommend trying a vanilla install from tarball.  Probably won't fix the 
problem, but does not hurt to narrow the field of possible issues.

What about configuring the plugin between these two steps?  I assume you 
read and followed the INSTALL file.

Oh really?  So when I say these things in my reply to your last useful 
post, you think I am just typing for fun?  Let me step you through it again:

---> This is straight forward.  What here do you consider to be 
unuseful?  As we see above, you use someone else's package of SM, so 
this was a fortuitous guess, but guesses are about all you have left me 
with.  How many more guesses do you want me to make about a problem that 
only happens on YOUR system.  C'mon.

Other tips: find the draft in your mail spool and look at the raw 
message on disk to see what it looks like and compare to what shows up 
on the compose page when you resume it.  Change all language to English 
and try again.  Try a different browser.  Deactivate ALL other plugins. 
  Don't piss off someone who went to the trouble to remember your help 
request from a week ago and tried to help you free of charge.
