Webware for Python

Probably whats needed to get this sucker beautiful is for folks to go thu
the system and build some simple regression tests. I think (from memory)
theres a bunch of tests in there.

Then if someone who knows about 'these things' feels up for it, they can
on a regular basis grab the CVS, and build some tarballs, RPM balls and
DEB balls.

Basically I'm saying the project needs a release engineer, and I aint got
the time for it :(

I assumed it would likely end up being whoever did past releases, but I
guess it could be anyone senior enough in the community to be allowed to
do an official release. I (and whoever else offering funding) could get
their address or PayPal account name from them off-list.

The more the merrier, yes... I agree with the benefits of getting
Webware into various distros, but I'd settle for just a source release.

Congrats... Small world, I have a 6-month-old adjusting my schedule
lately too. If babies have shown up in more Webware households, that
alone could explain the time between releases!

But making an official release gives everyone a lot more than just some
possibly working code. With a release the developers reach some kind of
agreement that the code is in a usable state, and when people start to
use it, those developers can know with a certain level of confidence
what code is actually being used. I've worked against both official
releases and CVS snapshots of Webware, but you can only make reasonable
guarantees of compatibility with the releases - it's hard to even
replicate an ad-hoc CVS snapshot, let alone support it.

P.S. Looking at the various changes made since 0.8.1, I'd recommend 0.9
as opposed to 0.8.2 as the version number.
