Thanks a lot. From your comment "Main development is done on the
madwifi-bsd branch now." and Bruno Randolfs "we hope to that we can
sometimes make the BSD branch the default branch of madwifi, but this
requires still more testing", I interprete this as the current branch is dead and the BSD is where development is taking place.
Maybe you should mentions this on http://madwifi.sourceforge.net and put a little bit more details in FAQ point 10.4.
