As I have modified those scripts a bit to fit my remote and needs, here are
the ones I use. The lockfiles used by the original ones seemed completely
useless to me, so I got rid of them. As it is now, the "Home" button shows a
menu, from which you can press a # to switch to a different mode. Pressing
"Home" from within that mode will display the menu, but switching modes will
not exit the current program. To do that, you have to press stop from within
the appropriate mode. The xscreensaver commands are persistant throughout all

left them. Not sure if they are necessary, but it works. The quit section of
mplayer is a bit confusing, because it is switching modes _and_ quitting
