and thanks for fixes! Changing 'alpha' into 'snapshot' in
sys.version_info and adding build number there too is just what I
needed. I'm not sure is format 2.2a2952 best possible in sys.version,
though, but that's probably not so important in a snapshot. Nice that
you'll take care about installation location too.
I installed latest snapshot (2952) into WinXP. After adding one more
version check to our workaround for unicode bug in 2.2a1 all our 500
acceptance tests and 400 unit tests run without problems. I also
explicitely tested the unicode bug and was pleased to find it fixed.
At least I find these snapshot builds very valuable. Perhaps they
should be made more official and promoted in Jython webpage and/or
