Looking at the msysDTK download page, I see several updates and
add-ons provided as separate downloads. A new msysDTK release would
not be a bad idea.
If you wish to pursue this, you can start here:
If I understood correctly, you are currently building msysDTK
applications on a regular MSYS shell, which results in native (non
MSYS) versions of these tools. Would you consider packaging them as
mingwPORTs? This would also be very welcome. See:

I believe the intention is that the next version of the MinGW
installer will be able to fetch and unpack the msysCORE tarball over
the Internet, the same way it does now with the tarballs of gcc,
binutils, w32api, etc.
