Hello, again, everyone.
Thank you, Tim Chick, for your help on issue #1. I'm already getting
reports back that it worked.
Anyone want to give a stab at #2 and #3?
2) They install, configure, and set up their card as per instructions.
Everything works. When they're ready to automate, they type the
ndiswrapper -m command, but get this:
linux:/programs/belkin # ndiswrapper -m
modprobe config already contains alias directive
However, I have seen the modprobe.conf and modprobe.conf.local files for
these people, and those files DO NOT HAVE a "alias wlan0 ndiswrapper"
line in them. Anywhere. What's up with that?
3) They install, configure, and get an IP address from the router. But
once the router has given them an IP, it doesn't give them anything
else, like DNS servers, or any other external bandwidth. Would this have
anything to do with ndiswrapper code, or is it more likely a problem
with their router? I had to reboot like 2 times before I got my DNS
servers via ndiswrapper, but a few of these people still can't get DNS
servers after 7 reboots.
Thanks in advance.
