I can't install ndiswrapper-0.9. Have installed ndiswrapper-0.6+CVS on
the same machine before. No changes in hardware, but now I've got a
I think I need your patch, only I don't know what to do with it?!
Have I made any obvious mistakes?
Do I need your patch? If so - what do I do with it?
I once had ndiswrapper 0.6+CVS up and running with debian/unstable and
kernel 2.4.25 and intel2100b win driver on a Dell Latitude D600. Then an
accident happened and I had to reinstall debian. Now I've got a 2.6.7
kernel, the same win driver, and ndiswrapper-0.9 that I got from
rigtorp.se using apt-get and I can't get it to work. I've tried other
win drivers too, but every time ndiswrapper -l gives me
xxx hardware NOT present
I tried "modprobe ndiswrapper" anyway, but that only gives me "FATAL:
Module ndiswrapper not found."
I also tried downloading the ndiswrapper source but I couldn't manage to
build it. make gives me:
make -C driver
make: Entering directory
You don't seem to have sources for your kernel; install them in
/usr/src, link /lib/modules/2.6.7-1-386/build to it and try again.
make: *** [prereq_check] Error 1
make: Leaving directory
make: *** [all] Error 2
"/lib/modules/2.6.7-1-386/build" is a symlink to
"/usr/src/kernel-source-2.6.7/". The kernel comes from the netinstall CD
(or from the following dist-upgrade, not sure) and the source is the
most similar thing that I could find using apt-get from ftp.funet.fi.

This really bothers me since I had it running nice and clean before the
reinstall. I'd be eternally grateful for any pointers you might have to
set me back on track again.
Thanks in advance
