I originally used LWP::Simple rather than curl. I have added the
LWP::Simple lines back in. The reason I used curl was simply because LWP
is a lot to install if you don't already have it.
One thing the Perl version does that is not obvious is grab all the
<pre></pre> sections and concatenate them together. This might be useful
if someone wants to put wiki text between them. Do your versions also do

I'm leaving for a 5 day vacation. I'll have a laptop but no internet,
