While going through the conf.php file I discovered one section that lets you
set what type of SMTP authentication you are running, another that lets you
set a default user/pass for SMTP authentication and finally a section to set
the default SMTP server address/name. The last section mentioned states
that SMTP authentication is not supported and that I must set it to a server
that will allow relaying.
My question is this: Is there any workaround to avoid using a relay server?
I personally cannot afford the risk of running my server in relay mode for
fear of abuse. Even telling the server to accept relay connections only
from its IP is risky due to IP spoofing becoming more prevalent.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I really like the look & feel of the
program and hope this is something that can be overcome.
