Vijay, at one point I had a very similar error while trying to run
Jython from Ant 1.4.1 or 1.5.1 (don't recall which) using a Sun 1.3.1
JVM on Linux.
The problem I experienced was due to the dash in the class name of
jython-21, which is prohibited by the Java Language Specification. I
believe that the Jython folks have rectified this problem in CVS, and
that things will be right in the next release.
