I have no finally tried out the Clie simulator. I was a bit
disappointed that you do not even get the standard fonts in
high-density without any extra coding. With PalmOS5, you just need to
include high-resolution versions of bitmaps and fonts. Only for the
star maps some extra code was necessary and the constant up- and
downscaling makes the code not the easiest to maintain.

I would really like to know, if the speed is acceptable. Can you try
installing several catalogs (e.g. AllStars and RNGC, which are the
biggest), select them and switch to sky map. What is the maximum
brightness settings (options dialog) that gives good performance?

Good, so I do not have to find it out myself :)

Via the Clie-API or the Pen Input Manager Feature? I just found the
latter after searching the web for hours. Wonder how difficult it is
to support both in parallel.
