- yeah, there will be some focuses linked to my personal activity, and
as I'll the there the whole week, you can expect to hear about the
following topics :
* licence cleaning, as you said : getting all the pure LGPL preserved
in the original package. what can't be rewritten will jump in mods.
* work and improvement of the new mods installer
.. first code will be committed in the week
sneakyshots at http://eye.mose.com
* possibly the benchmarking and improvement of the TikiForge project
.. upon damians existing code that should be commited soon.
* bug massive slaughtering to make 1.9 ready for professional use
.. remote participation is welcome as well.
* trackers run to make it useable really in final 1.9
.. that's a load I got on my left shoulder I want to get rid off
the biggest needs is actually about translating the documentation
from french to get more help ;)
* democracy systems bundled in tiki with various options
that will be a big enhancement of polls, following
http://www.vivarto.com/Technical+Info guidelines more or less
.. as well as an occasion to discuss about tikiwiki governance
principles and perspectives.
* work on n'guild cooperative, that's linked to tiki but not
exclusively. It's mainly a geek cooperative beetween people that
are in majority in tikiwiki community. http://nguild.org
.. as well as general networking-beetween-people is always a strong
motivation to join a tikifest.
The addition of those 2 new features (enhanced vote and tikiforge),
are motivated by an imediate use that the tikiwiki community can have
for that. With a mods installer, the forge has to be ready and
kicking. About the vote system, I plan to propose the community a fair
voting/feedback system for empowering individual decision-making with
holopticist context, as we now are a big number of people (around 300)
and now we really need more tools for internal flows and transparency.
Note that the voting system will be demonstrated in london during the
ESF, just before the tikifest. I'll use http://cc.tikiwiki.org to
spread more information when I'll have some.
