Thanks for the info, which will be of considerable help to the OP.
I am currently working on getting UML operational on SuSE 8.1, and once
I have done so, I will mail a recipe/HOWTO to you.
I have used and recommended SuSE since 1998, so it is simply an
observation that UML support appears to have moved faster in
Debian than SuSE. Now Debian is the only distribution that is
arguably superior to SuSE: You don't want people trying it out
for the lack of a UML facility/package, do you!
