And another method is to create your own TCP "tunnel", and detect when you
disconnect.
That way, you can log when you are disconnecting, IPs and other data.
For more information, look at the RFB protocol, if you want to snif the VNC
messages:

but I can tell you it is not a requirement, since only forwarding traffic is
enough. But, if you need to interpret the messages for richer logs, then go
on with the rfb protocol.
