I actually found that using iterm (http://iterm.sourceforge.net/) works much better than the default terminal program.
The default terminal program doesn't seem to support scrolling when you hit screen /dev/tty.usbserial-A7005rg2 115200
You should also add that you have to hit ctrl-a and then ctrl-\ to quit.

I'll add this to the wiki when I find the right spot.
To get osx to recognize the usb serial adapter that is on the summit
and probably other boards, get drivers from:
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
The adapter is an FTDI FT232. I just use a port for minicom, but you
should also be able to just use "screen" (built-in)
screen /dev/tty.usbserial-A7005rg2 115200
I don't know how the tty naming gets determined or if there's a way to
automatically find it.
