I'm starting another round of translations, but I can't:

"cvs update" might be a good idea...

I just got xine-ui from cvs, and did what you did in your mail:
./autogen.sh
cd po
make update-po

and everyhing is fine. I'm getting a lot messages about extracted/ 
translated messages.

can you try a fresh checkout?

That's the first thing I did. First an update, to get the new .pot file, 
then the make update-po, to push the new msgs to the .po fil.

I did another "cvs update -dP", followed by the above, and this time it 
worked fine.

Go figure... :-?
