I took gcc 2.95 (i386 host, arm target) from
http://www.emdebian.org/tools/cross-old.html . I actually use Slackware
x86_64 myself, so I used rpm2tgz.
Yes, there may be some superfluous changes in the patches. They were
inherited from somewhere. In my eagerness to put something together that
worked, I haven't looked through them properly yet. I'll try to get around
to that soon.
