Yes, that's right, that ancient moldy Sarathy port of damke is usable
with mingw-gcc. The *only* thing I know of that anybody uses it for, is
to build Perl, though. Recently someone on the Cygwin list also asked
about dmake (whether or not it had been ported to Cygwin, to which the
answer is basically "no") ... I would just like to note that,

me that any effort that somebody might be then considering putting into
porting gmake to either Cygwin or MSYS or MinGW-without-MSYS, would be
