Not as far as I know.
None that I can see: you may get slightly faster garbage collections, but
that's about it, I'd assume.
Maybe: if it interests you, but in terms of "worth" to the rest of the
world I would direct your attention towards to BUGS and OPTIMIZATIONS
files, and the various FIXMEs and KLUDGEs in the source, or any of the
other endless sources of todos. ;-)
