Hi,
I noticed that the output of commands like e.g.
1) smartctl -c
2) smartctl -A
3) smartctl -l selftest
looks fairly different for IDE and SCSI drives.
I expected that e.g. (1) would give me all the infos of the SMART capabilities
of my SCSI drive as well as the status of a running offline self-test, which
is not the case.
I thought that (2) would look comparable for IDE and SCSI, but the SCSI drives
I use do not show up with the typical table of various attributes I was used
from my ide drives.
In case (3) there is a slightly different layout of the outputted table.
Does it only mean that there is a different code responsible for that output
and yet simply doesn't have the same functionality like in case of IDE
drives?
