Hi all
I have bought the ifp 380T and tried to use the ifp driver with Suse 8.2.
But when I run ifp, I always get the error: "no iRiver iFP found".
I have found that the product Id is different to the Id given in
ifp_routines.h
Do you think it works if I replace this ID with the ID I found on the ifp
380T?
I feared to try it, I don't want to destroy anything on my brandnew ifp.
----------------------------
I have also tried the mass storage approach, but the ifp is detected by
the hotplug but no driver is
associated with it. This is the output of the /var/log/messages:
kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:1d.0-1, assigned address 6
kernel: usb.c: USB device 6 (vend/prod 0x4102/0x1003) is not claimed by
any active driver.
After this section I would expect some driver taking the usb device under
his head?
Thanks for your help Jochen
