I use a NAS unit that is running a linux variant as its OS. The BackupPc
machine mounts the NAS using NFS. There is a dedicated 100Mb ethernet
connection for the NAS. My data store is only about 9GB storing backups
for 3 windows 2003? servers and 1 windows XP workstation. It seems to
work fine. The underlying NAS filesystem/OS needs to support hardlinks.
