Initial Comment:
When the VFSBrowser is opened as a dialog, it emits these EBMessages which are 
being monitored by plugins like Console and ImageViewer, but really, these plugins are only
interested in the selected messages when it is the dockable browser, not when it is opened 
in dialog mode.

Rev#21697 addresses this and can be merged into 4.5.x
