In my system Manna doesn't exist except in the Runes. It is the characters
ability to channel and the volume of runes, for mundane
(humanoid)characters, that determines a spell. The source(God) has the
manna not the human except for when a human is using their own constitution
to affect the health of another character. Magic is not one big pot that
people pull from within themselves it is a gift from the gods. Different
magics require different sources, when these magics must be combined this is
another ability all together(kind of like mixing volitile agents). There
are other things from this... Try to advance the system. I have made it
pretty integrated but your concept of levels is different thean my. Mine is
a continuum based on use, daily use, where as yours seems based on
experience, total XP (an artificial idea), and steps. There are things out
of this that can definitely add to my system, object type such as bouyance
I will try to digest this and synthesize it into my system. It has been
sometime since I have worked directly on my html and know there is much to
be integrated for the recent discussions. I appreciate that you are putting
forth ideas since it has been sometime since this has been discussed
directly it is difficult for me to address each thing directly. I do not
mean to be adversarial in any way, I am not sure you understand the essence
of the magical system and how it integrates into the gods and spirits ideas.
I am journalling the "ecology" of the spirit realm now and am trying to
make it a smooth, believable idea and so haven't worked on the base system
in sometime. IO will print what you have written and take it with me, when
I get back I hope to be able to get in the swing over a month and start
contributing in the way I was before my trip. I would like to set a date of
Sept 1 for the next version of my RP System and will try to keep with it. I
hope to include ideas about after life, and senses(although I think its is
more of a coding issue than the way the game is played) and seperate(for
organizational purposes) sections of the html.
