RODIN

Dear all,

While using Rodin I sometimes get the following message: "The user
operation is waiting for background work to complete". The background work
usually is "Processing project notifications", which hangs Rodin
completely. Most of the times it hangs Rodin so badly, that I have to end
task via Task Manager and to restart Rodin.

Is it a common problem, or what do I do wrong?

Which version of the Rodin platform do you use and which plug-ins are installed in it? Could you please send me your log file in a private mail (without copying the list)? To get the Log file, click "Window > Show View > Error Log", then in the context menu of the view, select "Export Log..." Cheers, Laurent.

The project notification is required to check if a change in a project affects a particular composition file. I was not aware of that possible side effect of hanging the platform so I will look into it and find a way to minimise/remove that behaviour.
