As I explained to someone else - this exchanging of the cards between
ISA/PCI carriers and PCMCIA slots WILL work - but only for the older
revisions of our radio cards.(The ones that can't do wep at 11mbps)
Our newer cards which among other things CAN do wep at 11mbps - Do require
a special bootblock that as a side effect prevents them from being swapped
between PCMCIA slots and the carrier cards.
Since I work mainly with our newer products I sometimes tend to forget
about how the older ones behaved...

ps. In regard to yesterdays question of taking the pcmcia cards off the
ISA/PCI carriers, we have two cards that we took off the carriers to use in
laptops, that appear to work fine, and have been upgraded without problem.
