Summary: Bitmap Export Problem Associated with Blur Function
Initial Comment:
When Inkscape exports objects filled with blurred color to PNG bitmap, the exporting process becomes extremely slow even when the resolution is slightly greater than one thousand pixel in each dimension. When blur funciton is turned off, the exporting process becomes very smooth even for high resolution bitmap. Please try the attached SVG drawing.
I ran into this prolbme when I used Inkscape to design a greeting poster. Previously I thought this is just a performance issue (See Feature Requests: 1781730 Bitmap Export Speed Needs Improving). After comparing the export process with the blur function turned on or off, I confirm now that this is a bug related to exporting objects with blur color.
Since I found this bug during the design of my greeting poster, I used to think that the slow exporting speed is caused by the high resolution of the PNG file to be generated. This problem looked really confusing at the beginning because it is very hard to tell what slows the exporting process: the high resolution, or something else.
During designing my greeting poster, I feel it's necessary to give users an option to specify the size of the pixel buffer that Inkscape uses when it makes bitmap export, such that users who want to generate high-resolution bitmap for professional printing can use Inkscape to achieve their goals. For example, I need to generate a poster with 36 (w) x 27.8 (h) inch and 300 dpi.
Many thanks in advance!

Hi buliabyak,
Thank you so much for your quick response and the fix! It is really a
surprise! I appreciate the fast development pace of Inkscape, a nice job!
And I am looking forward to the new version of Inkscape when it's
available!
Another thing about blurring function that I noticed during my daily use
is that the redraw and update of the graphics containing blurred objects is
kind of slow compared with the objects without blur. This is especially
true when I edited Night-Sky.svg that contains many blurred objects and
kept flipping back and forth between many windows. I guess this is probably
normal because the blurring effect need to be calculated in real time.
Thanks a lot again!

this is fixed in development version - your file exported to 11000x8500 in
about an hour (on my slow machine).
