I have been trying to generate samples from Oprofile running on a
2.6.17.7 kernel compiled from source downloaded from kernel.org. I have
using a virtualized environment using vmware to emulate a x86 hardware.
I have also tried using oprofile in the timer interrupt mode by setting
oprofile.timer=3D1 in the boot option. However, I do not get any =
samples.
I have pasting the relevant hardware info below:
