One obvious first approach would be to design the skinning system so =
that it intercepts WM_GETTEXT messages sent to all of the window handles =
and responds accordingly (similarly, it shouldn't attempt to cut corners =
by defining the entire interior of the window as one handle - everything =
in the window should derive appropriately and respond to all of the =
standard WM_* messages). That would go a long way towards making =
skinned apps behave more appropriately.
