Yes, Patricia Dyck and I have reorganized ICD9 codes into a directed acyclic
graph based ontology to facilitate data mining of patient health records.
We hope to use a GO type open process for continued development and
refinement of the ontology. You can download the ontology at
http://diseaseontology.sourceforge.net/
We also have a discussion group email list for discussing the ontology that
you can join at the above site. We look forward to any suggestions you may
have.
