If you are running OpenNMS, you likely have a significant number of servers
under your control. OpenNMS helps you to know how they feel and if they
need your care and attention.
But what if they do? Managing a few servers is easy, but configuring a
hundred can be a tedious tasks. There are a couple of tools out there to
change and maintain configuration on systems. One of them is Saltstack (
Saltstack is an Open Source configuration management tool and Umberto
Nicoletti has done what comes natural to an OpenNMS user - he has tied it
to OpenNMS :-)
In his presentation on the OpenNMS User Conference Europe in March he will
explain how he did it and answer all your questions about the benefits.
