Thanks a lot, this sounds reassuring!
Interestingly, I do already have a Jython, which comes as a plugin to
the jEdit text editor, and this still Jython 2.1 .... it doesn't look
broken yet, but I haven't done anything complex with it, so who knows.
In any case I'm happy to know that I can safely install a newer Jython
on my system.
