This morning Symantec Antivirus reported WinFixer in tortoiseCVS-1.8.17.exe
Another user on this list reported a similar message for version 1.8.24.
Clearly this is a false positive. I think the TortoiseCVS development team
needs to have a talk with Symantec. I'll do my part and let them have an
earful as a Symantec victim^W customer.
