Yes, it is possible, in fact it won't be a big change.
But please if you do, just don't name the game Stendhal so players don't get

If you think of mapacman, most games run in a very similar way.
In your case, real turn based game, you can have an object that encodes the
turn info, so players check that object is giving turns to them.
We implemented something very similar for simplegame, a tic tac toe game
using Marauroa 0.0x version.
