Which alternative methods of unsubscribing did you try? AFAIK, there
are at least three:
1) Send blank message, with subject "unsubscribe", (without the quotes),
I just tried this one myself, from one of my subscribed addresses,
but saw no effect within the following 15 minutes. Maybe that's just
being too impatient; it is a documented method of unsubscribing.
2) Visit your account settings login page, linked from:
and click the "unsubscribe" button. I just did this, received the
confirmation request email within about a minute or so, and completed
the process after about a further two minutes.
3) Complete the login process at (2), rather than just click the
"unsubscribe" button. This takes you to your personal settings
page, where you will find a further option to unsubscribe; this one
operating *immediately*, without requiring a confirmation email from
you, when you select the "confirm" check-box and click "unsubscribe"
I also tried this, after recreating the subscription I'd killed in
(2); it really *does* kill your subscription immediately, just like
it says on the tin, and I received a confirmation email to that
effect, after a minute or so.
I guess you are trying to use method (2). If that's persistently not
working for you, then please try method (3). If nothing works, then I
can forcibly unsubscribe you, but it may be better to raise a ticket
with SourceForge, because there may be a system fault which they need to
address, although at least methods (2) and (3) seem to WJFFM.
